Wrinkle-erasing effects of Botox neurotoxins and fillers can last for several months, however, the age-defying results of a facelift can last for years. There are many variations of a facelift depending on incision type, soft tissue dissection and elevation, and fat grafting which all affect recovery time and results.
Sagging skin, folds, wrinkles and color changes are often the first noticeable signs of aging. A platysmaplasty, or neck lift, refers to the tightening and suspension of the muscles of the neck. This helps lessen the sagging skin often seen under the jaw line as well as assists with the creation of a well-defined jaw and neckline.
As you age, your eyelids stretch and the muscles supporting them weaken. As a result, excess fat may become more prominent above and below eyelids causing the upper eyelids to appear heavy and bags under the eyes. Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, removes excess skin, muscle and/or fat rejuvenating this region resulting in a more refreshed appearance.
